More MSC 2026 Upset As ONIC Loses Out to Aurora Türkiye

The surprises from MSC 2026‘s group B keep on giving. At the latter part of the day 4 matchday, more title favorites fell to the rising regions, starting with ONIC’s loss against Aurora Türkiye.

The Turkish representatives really defied expectations; while they were known as a tough team, nobody expected them to give the top regions a run for their money.

The two teams initially fought on equal terms. While Aurora won the first game, ONIC leveled the field right away in the second game.

The third game is where it all crumbled. ONIC was dominated by Aurora, losing out in just under 10 minutes. It is an unbefitting display from the Indonesian outfit.

The surprises from group B don’t stop there, as last year’s champion, Team Liquid PH, had their unexpected early exit after losing 0-2 against Entity7.

Both teams fought hard, but at the end of the day it was the LATAM representative who stood tall, winning at the last minute and not giving Team Liquid PH a chance to reply.

“The competition is really high this year, and I saw a lot of teams improve so much during the update. I feel like it’s our fault that we didn’t adapt very fast. And that has always been the problem for us even before,” said KarlTzy during a post-match interview with PhilStar.

Moving back to ONIC, they still have a chance to qualify for the knockout. But with Selangor Red Giants, who got knocked down by Pro Esports as their opponent, things will not be easy. It just shows that group B has a really hellish draw, and the top teams got a taste of their own arrogance.
