MPL ID S18 Transfer Market: Everyone Coming In and Out

The MPL ID S18 will begin today, August 14, at the usual place in XO Hall Jakarta. While the fanfare seems to be drowned by the ongoing Esports World Cup 2026, excitement is still looming in the air.

Some teams came out in top shape from recent international tournament achievements or are even riding on momentum for their upcoming big moments. Some other teams are also confident in their recent signing.

Here is the recap for MPL ID S18’s transfer market activities, showing which team members came in and left.

Alter Ego

Alter Ego didn’t make any drastic roster changes, welcoming back Ivann from Team Rey.

Coach Xepher kept his championship-winning roster intact and placed his trust in the team’s strong chemistry, especially since they were selected to represent Indonesia at the upcoming Asian Games and Esports Nations Cup.

It seems this is why the players opted to use their real names as nicknames. It was meant to flex that they still have what it takes to represent the Indonesian flag at the highest multinational event.

Bigetron by Vitality

Kdot is back in the coaching role, replacing Theonael, who has recovered from his illness before MSC 2026 and now has elected to handle Bigetron Academy development.

The main team’s roster remains relatively the same, as they’re still riding the momentum from their GOTF 2026 victory. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why Kdot was promoted into the head coach role.

Meanwhile, Pinnn has been loaned to Team Rey, and Lynchh has moved to RRQ Hoshi, in an attempt to make team structure more lean.

EVOS Esports

EVOS has signed several new players, including Muezza from Dewa United, Rendyy, and DrianW. Aldo has also returned to the coaching staff after a stint as an English-language caster.

Several players have been placed on inactive status, including Kyy and Egatzy. Treacky has been loaned to Invictus Malaysia.

Moving on to released personnel, Pheww has returned to Team Falcons, while Vyn has stepped down as coach. Luke is also becoming a streamer for BTR.

Dewa United

Dewa United has revamped its coaching staff by hiring Link as an assistant coach and Laufeyson as an analyst.

Rounding out the Philippine-majority coaching team with Right as the head coach, they hope to further develop Dewa United’s solid roster from last season.

Players like Muezza have been released to EVOS, while Dolynn has moved to BTR Academy.

Geek Fam

Baloyskie’s departure was a major blow to Geek Fam, given that the roamer was the backbone of their team.

Audytzy returned to the pro scene to replace him, while Febriii filled the EXP position. It remains to be seen how this lineup will fare.

Meanwhile, Asune is on hiatus, and Frizzyyy has been released. MxMoore stepped down as coach to take on the role of manager, with Erpang returning as head coach. We hope that he could bring in that Kingslayer magic that made Geek Fam a monster in the M5 World Championship.

Natus Vincere

NAVI lost several top players, including UK1R, who moved to Team Flash; Xmagic, who joined ONIC Prime; and Xyve, who has yet to determine his future team.

Coach Ynot is pinning the team’s hopes on new additions like Febb and Joshua, while Han has switched roles to become an analyst.

While NAVI still have their key players like Andoryuu and Karss, we will have to see how they can mount a challenge.

ONIC

Another team that has kept its roster intact is ONIC. The only change is on the coaching staff, where Baloyskie has returned to his former team as an assistant coach.

Baloyskie is a familiar name to the ONIC family in the Philippines. Having played for Geek Fam, sometimes we forget that his ability is at a similar level to players like Kairi, Wise, and OhMyV33nus.

Given Baloyskie’s long history within the ONIC ecosystem, the team’s chemistry is sure to grow even stronger. Recent good results from MSC and Games of the Future also fueled their ambition to win this season.

RRQ Hoshi

If we can choose one team who’s been really busy in the transfer market, perhaps RRQ Hoshi is the one. For example, Demonkite’s arrival as a loan player at RRQ Hoshi was one of RRQ’s boldest transfer moves.

Lynchh was brought in from BTR, while Clayy and Arthur (Sutsujin) were reactivated. Kenn and Yehezkiel moved to RRQ Tora, Toyy to RRQ Sena, and Dan was released.

Khezcute took a brief hiatus as coach, and his colleague NMM was let go by the team. Pauu also moved to AC Esports, where Adi finally returned to RRQ as a coach.

Team Liquid ID

Anaver and Keven were promoted from Team Liquid ID Academy, in exchange for Aredlavv, who had to compete in the MDL. Kyou was placed on the inactive roster.

Aeronnshikii is no longer part of TLID after his contract was terminated. The team didn’t give out a concrete reason, but it is believed that this was a result of Aeronn’s repeat violation of TLID’s code of conduct.

Perhaps with the old baggage being released, the team can move on with a new lineup and a fresh mindset.
