AG.AL Wins EWC 2026 Club Championship Through Trackmania Victory
AG.AL wins the EWC 2026 Club Championship title by winning the EWC Trackmania event, denying Team Falcons a three-peat achievement.
Gwen carried the pressure of winning a total of USD 7 million for AG.AL in one of the last games of the EWC 2026 tournament. With the smallest grand prize of USD 150,000 for the Trackmania winner, Gwen put that aside to make sure he contributed to the team.
Having its debut at the EWC 2026, substituting for Rennsport, which was dominated by Team Redline (now Verstappen Sim Racing) two years in a row, the atmosphere for the Trackmania tournament was explosive. The hype is so high, it made the Counter-Strike 2 tournament that will conclude tonight not even matter. Fans knew it was here at Trackmania that the Club Championship would be decided.
Coming into the grand finals, AG.AL went head-to-head with Team Falcons for the Club Championship. Falcons are represented by Carl Jr. from Canada, who is also another top Trackmania player in the scene.
Starting the day from the quarter finals, Carl Jr. faced strong resistance from Team Vitality’s Pac, Team Liquid’s Otaaaq, and privateer Neon. The match was so intense, it made history as the first-ever quadruple finisher in Trackmania esports history.
This means that at the next two rounds, anyone could win and move to the semifinals. Pac clenched the first round, and then out of nowhere Otaaaq left Neon and Carl Jr. behind to deny Team Falcons their three-peat Club Championship title.
This would mean that Gwen from AG.AL would need to finish third at the grand finals to surpass Team Falcons’ points at the Club Championship. Understanding the task at hand, Gwen worked hard to win the quarter finals with Team Liquid’s Epos, followed by another tight victory with NAVI’s Mime at the semifinal.
The grand finals pitted Gwen, Epos, Pac, and Mime. Gwen took off by winning the first three rounds, and the others traded blows trying to hold Gwen back. Ultimately, Gwen came out as the better man. By the time he reached finisher status, his opponents weren’t able to obtain 100 points.
Despite Epos’ hard work to deny the inevitable, eventually Gwen won not only the entire Trackmania tournament but also the entire EWC 2026 Club Championship for AG.AL.
“This one’s for the history books,” commented Trackmania content creator Wirtual, who streamed the tournament on-site. But, it is safe to say that this would be a legendary moment not just for Trackmania, who had a memorable debut at the EWC, but also for the entirety of the EWC history itself.
