Team Vitality on Reaper Mode After Eliminating Two KWC 2026 Teams on the Same Day

Team Vitality was on a roll after steamrolling their way to the knockout stage by winning their two lower bracket matches on the KWC 2026 Group A bracket.

Losing to AG.AL right away in the first upper bracket match, the Indonesian team clawed their way into the knockout qualification by winning against MIBR.LOS in the semifinal and Blacklist International in the finals.

The manner in which they won is also dramatic. MIBR.LOS initially controlled the first game in the first match, but they failed to finish the job as Team Vitality managed to pull an epic comeback. Since then, MIBR.LOS seems to have lost their momentum and cannot mount a decent challenge on Team Vitality.

Moving on to the lower bracket finals, both Blacklist and Vitality played on equal terms until the score equalized at 1-1. In the third game, Blacklist International seems comfortable to finish the match in their favor. Miracle struck again as Team Vitality pulled a reverse sweep to secure their knockout stage slot.

F1, Team Vitality’s roamer, said in a post-match interview that the team kept their composure and tried to take one step at a time to try for a counterattack.

“We tried to be patient and calmed each other. For me, I prayed a lot, ‘Oh my God, oh my God, please don’t end this,'” said F1, jokingly. “If we don’t meet KPL teams in the knockout phase right away, we could finish in the top 4.”

The world seems to answer F1’s prayer, because Team Vitality will face ROC Esports from Malaysia in the knockout stage later, after Team Nemesis from Indonesia plays Geekay Esports in the afternoon.
