Secret WAG Promoted To FFWS SEA 2026 Grand Finals After Team Akkee Failed to Submit Paperwork

Secret WAG from Vietnam will be promoted to the FFWS SEA 2026 Fall grand finals after failing to qualify in the top 6 during the last day of the knockout stage.

The announcement came after it was discovered that Team Akkee, who finished third at the table, had failed to hand over their paperwork pertaining to travel documentation. Since the grand finals will be held in Indonesia, all teams from outside of the country must be eligible for overseas travel.

Announced by the Free Fire Esports staff member through their social media, Team Akkee has failed to submit valid passports for their team members at the initial deadline of September 4. The tournament committee then extended this deadline to September 7, but Team Akkee also failed to complete their paperwork before this deadline.

As such, the debutant team from Thailand was officially disqualified from the grand finals since they are unable to prepare for their travel paperwork accordingly. Their slot will be taken by Secret WAG, who finished 7th.

Dear Survivors,

We regret to announce that Team Akkee has been disqualified from the competition after being unable to submit valid passports for all rostered players within the required timeframe, despite being granted deadline extensions.

To secure the necessary travel clearance and apply for visas for the Grand Finals, all rostered players are required to hold valid passports.

This requirement is stipulated in Section 2.2.1 of the FFWS SEA 2026 Fall Rulebook and is necessary to ensure that mandatory visa applications and travel arrangements can be completed on time.

On 4 September, after Team Akkee missed the initial submission deadline, the Tournament Committee communicated with the team to better understand the situation and explore possible solutions. To provide additional time for the team to complete the necessary documentation, the Tournament Committee granted an emergency extension until 7 September and adjusted the team’s flight itinerary to accommodate the expedited visa application process.

Despite these efforts and the additional time provided, Team Akkee was unable to submit valid passports for all rostered players by the extended deadline. As the required visa applications and travel arrangements could therefore not be completed within the necessary timeframe, the Tournament Committee has made the difficult decision to disqualify Team Akkee from the competition.

As a result, the seventh-ranked team in the overall standings, Secret WAG, will officially advance to the Grand Finals in their place.

This decision was made after careful consideration and communication with Team Akkee. We appreciate the team’s efforts throughout the process and thank the community for its understanding.
