Free Fire Daybreak to Release on Spring 2027 Anime Season

Garena has announced that Free Fire Daybreak, the anime adaptation to their battle royale esports game Free Fire, is set to release in the spring 2027 anime season.

The anime, as announced beforehand, will be directed by Ken Takahashi (Ragna Crimson, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya).

The joint production between Garena and Kadokawa will be animated by Studio CANDY BOX, which was responsible for various gacha game anime adaptations such as Azur Lane and Blue Archive.

A teaser was posted by the official X account of the anime, featuring the main characters Kelly, Hayato, and Moco.

Garena previously shared a synopsis on the Free Fire website (now deleted), which revealed that the anime will be set in a city called New Dawn and will involve a conspiracy instigated by Horizon Corporation.

Kelly, the main character, got involved in Horizon’s “Project Bloom,” which granted her a special ability called Limit Break. She and her newfound allies will have to uncover Horizon’s secret that threatens the peace of New Dawn.
