Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Reveals First Trailer

The first trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has been revealed by CD Projekt Red and Trigger. Fans will return to Night City for this standalone sequel to the beloved anime adaptation series.

With fresh new faces helming the project, Edgerunners 2 offers a different side of Night City, contrasting from the first Edgerunners.

CDPR’s VP of Franchise Bartosz Sztybor will return as the writer, assisted by Trigger veteran Masahiko Otsuka. Kai Ikarashi will debut as the director, and Ichigo Kanno designed the characters.

Unrelated to the first Edgerunners, this anime will tell a brand new story about a ragtag bunch of misfits with different backgrounds and motives, united by circumstances.

The trailer showcases the action fans can expect from the series, with emphasis on gore and visceral visuals.

Here are the main character profiles and their voice actors.

• Weak Kingsley: An edgerunner formerly known as the King, now having to live without chrome (cyberware). He is looking for a purpose in a world that has moved on without him. Voiced by Kentaro Tone.
• D: A Snake Nation netrunner with a huge burn scar on his body. Highly skilled and efficient, the nomad is on a revenge mission to find anyone responsible for wiping his clan. Voiced by Koki Uchiyama.
• Roman Carax: A cinephile documenting the truth of Night City, where corruption runs rampant and society has abandoned cinema for the addicting braindance. Voiced by Momoka Terasawa.
• Talia Yang: A Maelstrom gang member coming from a corpo background. Like any other Maelstrom member, her body is decked in chrome. Voiced by Akari Kito.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will stream exclusively on Netflix in the fall 2026 anime season. It is listed with 10 episodes.
