Through Stability and Mindset, Bigetron Improved Themselves

If anyone can take ONIC’s playbook and strive for it, Bigetron by Vitality might just be the team that could pull it off.

After a rather early exit from MPL ID S16’s playoffs despite showing promise, Bigetron didn’t go to reinvent themselves. They saw potential in the current lineup and decided to keep going with them to see how far they go.

During the roster reveal, the only major addition to the team was integrating their top players from Bigetron Academy, such as Lynchh, Ryzaa, and Cliveee.

By focusing on roster stability, Bigetron played rather well during the early stages of the season 17 regular season. Despite having a lose streak near the end of the regular season, BTR still performed well enough to qualify for the playoffs.

The maturity of this team can be seen during the playoffs. Nnael and Moreno are performing at their top level, while Emann is evolving further to become a Kairi-like figure in the team: an indispensable import that the team can rely on.

Speaking with Bigetron by Vitality’s EXP laner Shogun during a press conference, he expressed that his confidence is growing as the season grows.

“I’m more ready. I trust the team more, and my team trusts me too. So that’s the best part—more trust than last season,” he said.

This mentality further seeps into his personal mindset, where humility and a down-to-earth mentality further improved his performance.

“My approach for this season is actually pretty simple. I’m treating myself like a rookie again. I’ll always feel like I’m not quite there yet; I’ll always be hungry to go even further,” Shogun added.

Furthermore, he always tries to stay calm and not overthink too much. “I used to overthink too much.”

Although they got beaten by ONIC at the upper bracket semifinal, Bigetron can be happy that they took down some of the biggest teams like EVOS and even the championship contender Team Liquid ID.

Their biggest test right now would be taming the Kingslayer, Geek Fam. All possibilities could happen when playing against Baloyskie and the gang, so Bigetron would need to stay alert and adaptive to all their attempts.

If Bigetron wanted to earn more experience on the international stage, this was their last chance to obtain the last MSC 2026 ticket for Indonesia. It wouldn’t be an easy task, but the team is ready to take on their biggest hurdle.
