Nobody Loves Kay Announced Based on ONIC Kairi

Visinema Pictures officially announced Nobody Loves Kay, their latest movie production based on the life and career of ONIC Esports‘ Kairi Rayosdelsol.

The legendary Philippines jungler came from a family with an esports background. His family wholeheartedly supports Kairi’s career in esports, especially his father, who was a former amateur Dota 2 player.

After signing in with Blacklist International in 2020, the Philippine scene was set ablaze with his unreal mechanical skill as a jungler. Kairi then transferred to ONIC PH, which started his longtime allegiance to the organization.

His career would soon skyrocket when he moved to ONIC ID during the MPL Indonesia Season 10 tournament. As the first Philippine import, Kairi dominated the tournament, winning his first MPL ID title as well as sweeping dozens of MVP awards.

Up to this day, Kairi is still ONIC ID’s greatest asset, a primary weapon to ensure local dominance.

Nobody Loves Kay tells a fictionalized account of Kairi’s life and career. Kay is a teenager who dreams of being the best jungler in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports scene. But he will have to face pressure from his family and a rocky relationship with his friends Ido and Aurelio.

Perhaps being inspired by Malaysia’s Soloz: Game of Life, Nobody Loves Kay will balance the inspiring account of Kairi’s career while presenting an entertaining movie about sports drama and youth life.

Bernardus Raka is poised as a director in his debut role after spending his career creating short movies and music videos for Hindia and Sal Priadi.

“The topics of friendship, family, romance, and sacrifice will be our main foundation in shaping the story and the overall character so that it can be accepted by a wide audience,” said Raka in a press release.

Bima Azriel will play as Kay, alongside Rey Bong as Ido and Joshia Frederico as Aurelio. Other cast members include Aurora Ribero as Amanda, Ariyo Wahab, Mian Tiara, and Melati Sesilia.

Nobody Loves Kay is produced by Visinema Pictures, in association with ONIC, Migunani Cinema Cult, Folago Pictures, and Qun Films. It will release soon in Indonesian theaters.
