HyperX Merges with OMEN, Kicks Off with HyperX OMEN 15 Laptop in Indonesia

HP officially launched their new gaming lineup with the merging of their leading gaming brand, HyperX and OMEN. In Indonesia, they debuted with the launch of the HyperX OMEN 15 gaming laptop.

The merger was first announced at CES 2026, where gaming laptop brand OMEN is assimilated into the HyperX brand ecosystem. Started out as a spinoff RAM brand by Kingston, now HyperX branches out into the gaming peripheral segment under HP’s tutelage.

This merger allows HyperX to strengthen its position in the gaming PC scene and be able to fight competitively with other gaming PC brands.

“HP supports the growth (of the gaming industry) through our latest portfolio of gaming solutions designed to raise the bar on gaming innovation, delivering high performance and immersive experiences that help every gamer play at their best,” said Juliana Cen, President Director of HP Indonesia.

The merge between HyperX and OMEN begins with the first HyperX-brand gaming laptop, the HyperX OMEN 15. This is a gaming laptop built on Intel CPU architecture, designed to deliver powerful multimedia performance for gaming and productivity.

It utilizes the latest Intel Core Ultra chip, up to Core Ultra 9, that is able to be overclocked up to 170W TTP (Total Platform Power) to achieve its highest performance potential.

That processing power is paired with OMEN Tempest Cooling, a cooling system with hyperbaric design and large air vents to maximize its cooling capabilities.

The Intel processor also works in tandem with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX laptop GPU, up to the 5070 model that is able to process graphically extensive applications.

Visuals are displayed through its 15.3-inch, 2.8K OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3, 3 ms response, and 500 nits of screen brightness. This screen isn’t just fast and responsive but also vividly beautiful.

As responsive as its screen, the HyperX Omen 15 also features a speedy keyboard that has an 8K polling rate, the first for any HP laptop. These keyboard specs made it possible to achieve minimum input-to-display response time up to 0.125 m.

The entire laptop can be monitored through the OMEN Gaming Hub. Performance settings can be adjusted, such as power output and cooling. Meanwhile, OMEN Light Studio provides customizations for RGB lights and the lighting effect.

At the same time, HP also launched various HyperX peripherals, from input devices to audio tools.

Responsive gaming can be achieved through the HyperX Pulsefire Fuse Wireless mouse, HyperX Origins 2 1800 keyboard, and HyperX Pulsefire Mat L mousepad.

Streamers can benefit from an array of tools such as HyperX Solocast 2 USB microphone, HyperX Cloud Jet Wireless headset, and HyperX Earbuds III & Earbuds III S.

“Through the HyperX ecosystem, HP’s vision for gaming is not just about running games but about enhancing how games are experienced and enjoyed. For both casual gamers and professional esports athletes, we focus on delivering an immersive, personalized, and adaptable experience,” Juliana concluded.
