Magic Chess: Go Go Season 5 Will Release Soon

Moonton has just announced that Magic Chess: Go Go Season 5 will go live on February 10, 2026. The update will introduce brand-new game modes.

Players can now try two new game modes, GOGO MOBA and Go Go Plaza. A new seasonal event will start to kick off the month of Ramadan.

“With Season 5, we want to expand how players experience MCGG—not just on the board, but across diverse spaces and gameplay moments. We’ll be launching new modes and experiences, which will give our players more ways to shape their own journey within the MCGG universe,” said Gao “Skyhook” Chong, MCGG Producer at Moonton Games.

“Every update this season is aimed at creating a universe that adds depth to the player experience, fostering community connections, and keeping the game dynamic and engaging,” he added.

The Magic Chess: Go Go Season 5 updates will definitely enrich the MCGG gameplay and change how gamers approach the game with a new mindset and strategies.

GOGO MOBA, MLBB but chibi?

GO GO MOBA adapts the MLBB gameplay into MCGG framework. (Moonton)

The highlight for the Magic Chess: Go Go Season 5 update is the new GOGO MOBA mode. This limited-time experience basically showcases the classic Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gameplay with a little bit of MCGG twist.

The goal of this mode is to put yourself directly in battle, instead of commanding the heroes from far away.

If you’re familiar with MLBB, you will feel at home playing GOGO MOBA. The difference is just that the heroes are the chibi version of MLBB heroes that you all know and love from MCGG.

New mechanics are also introduced, where you can jump and leap across walls and other map elements. This opens up a brand new strategy that you can employ during battle, either to rotate your position or push towards enemy turrets.

Go Go Plaza, new social space for players

When you’re finished playing, a new feature called Go Go Plaza is here for you to kick back and relax. Another cool feature from the Magic Chess: Go Go Season 5 update, this mode is an open space where you can interact with other players around the world.

You can directly control your commander and talk with other people. Exchange Battle Emotes, take photos together, or just explore the area and interact with the world elements.

Celebrate Ramadan with Golden Month event

Starting February 17, the Golden Month seasonal event will begin to celebrate the month of Ramadan. This sacred Islamic month teaches us to exercise discretion and manage our emotions to achieve inner peace.

During this limited-time event, players can play minigames to gather food ingredients and create delicious Iftar dishes. Iftar is the moment when Muslims can finally eat after fasting all day long.
