Pokémon Mega Evolution Starter Deck ex Launched

The Pokémon Mega Evolution Starter Deck ex has officially launched in Indonesia during a release event at Paperclip Kota Kasablanka Jakarta on December 27.

This starter deck is the first time ever that a Pokémon Trading Card Game starter deck contains a complete, ready-to-play deck containing 60 cards. This is a perfect starter deck for beginners who just started out playing Pokémon TCG.

“We’re excited to welcome the arrival of Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in this more convenient Starter Deck ex format,” said Andreas Halim, Marketing Lead at AKG Entertainment.

“With a complete deck, anyone, including beginners, can immediately join in the game or compete without having to go through the often time-consuming deck-building process.”

At release, there are two decks of Pokémon Mega Evolution Starter Deck ex that can be purchased. Each deck is geared toward different gameplay styles.

The Mega Lucario ex deck is suited for players who love to play aggressively by applying pressure to opponents and playing with a fast tempo.

Meanwhile, the Mega Venusaur ex deck is great for defensive players who prefer building their hands and being calculative in their strategies.

“These two Starter Decks not only offer a variety of playstyles but also open up more space for players to find the characters that best suit their preferences,” added Andreas.

To help players get accustomed to the gameplay of Pokémon TCG, a playing area has been set up at the Paperclip store in Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta.

New players starting from 8 years old can try out the new decks in slotted sessions lasting 40 minutes.

Every participant will receive a Mega Evolution booster pack, as well as one Paldean promo card. The event is available until March 1.

“We hope this product will encourage the growth of the Pokémon Collectible Card Game community in Indonesia and make strategic card playing even more inclusive,” said Andreas.
