Nova Esports Wins KIS4 Against Nongshim RedForce Singlehandedly

Nova Esports successfully wins the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 4 (KIS4) trophy at GBK Basket Hall Jakarta after dominantly beating Nongshim RedForce at the grand finals.

The Malaysian establishment didn’t break a sweat during their match against Nongshim, who defied the odds as the only team who managed to reach the grand finals without winning a single match during the group stage.

Despite the effort, the noodle conglomerate team was unable to defy the odds against the kings of international HOK Esports and had to concede 4-0.

How did Nova Esports wins KIS4?

At the first three games, Nova Esports is able to steamroll against Nongshim RedForce. Nongshim, which came from the KME league, is helpless against the title favorite.

After a halftime show presented by Indonesian singer Afgan, Nongshim is able to gain a little bit of an edge during the fourth game. But Nova clapped back hard to lock in their KIS4 title. No Ultimate Battle moment was achieved at this grand finals, as the match finished in just four games.

Despite the result, Nongshim can look back at their journey proudly, considering they managed to reach grand finals after losing every match at the group stage.

Their matchup at the knockout phase is nothing but admirable, beating Dominator Esports and BOOM Esports in a comfortable fashion.

By clinching the championship, Nova Esports is eligible for a piece of the prize pool, USD 35,000 for the first-place winner. Nongshim RedForce also obtained USD 17,000 for finishing second.

Not only that, Nova’s bottom laner Muci managed to win the Finals MVP award for his contribution to the team’s victory.

The grand finals, where Nova Esports wins KIS4 trophy against Nongshim RedForce, isn’t just the only headline during KIS4’s later stage.

The Philippines’ HYVE team managed to win Honor of Kings Women’s Series 3 (KWS3) after a straightforward, 2-0 victory against the defending champion, Malaysia’s AG Global.

The tournament displayed further commitment to further develop the women’s scene of Honor of Kings esports. With more tournaments to come, we can expect more exciting things from the KWS scene.

Showcase match such as the Tri-National Showdown, gave off a lighter but still competitive side of Honor of Kings. Chanosquad International from the Philippines came out as the winner.

Entertainment shows are starting to become a norm in esports events, and KIS4 isn’t an exception. The grand finals opened with a wayang show by renowned Indonesian artist Sujiwo Tejo, followed by a performance of KIS4’s theme song, “Forged in Honor,” by rap group MUKARAKAT and soloist INDAHKUS.

After the third game of grand finals, Afgan came down to the stage. As voted by fans through an in-game event, the national singer sang his famous singles such as “Sampai Jumpa,” “Panah Asmara,” and “Kacamata.” He seemed to love performing at KIS4; that Afgan added one more song to his set list, like “Jodoh pasti Bertemu.”

As the KIS4 hype cools down, the teams start to prepare for their national league to qualify for the Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC) 2026 at the Esports World Cup 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
