Needy Streamer Overload Anime Trailer Reveals Casts and Theme Song

The second Needy Streamer Overload anime trailer has just been revealed by Aniplex. It is the anime adaptation of WSS Playground and Xemono’s zany visual novel.

The game’s plot centers around the player, who acts as a “producer” for a streamer named OMGkawaiiAngel (also known as KAngel, real name Ame). She is a dropout who lives as a hikikomori alongside the player.

In order to pay for rent and fuel her parasocial attention needs, Ame decided to become a streamer using the KAngel alter ego. Interacting with the fans using a contrasting personality and getup, Ame is assisted by the player, who basically manages her daily life and streaming activities.

The game itself has 22 different endings, based on players’ choices and how well they managed Ame’s life. Needy Streamer Overload was released for PC and macOS in January 2022, with Nintendo Switch and PlayStation ports following after.

Second Needy Streamer Overload anime trailer published

The anime adaptation for Needy Streamer Overload was announced in November 2025 and shows a different, yet still on-brand, direction that departed from the video game concept.

Based on the Needy Streamer Overload anime trailers and information released, this anime will feature a brand-new cast of characters, paired in a streamer group called Karamazov. They are:

• Purple Lollipop, Karamazov’s leader, is played by Rina Kawaguchi.
• Michika Gokubara, a member of Karamazov, is played by Satsuki Shiina.
• Nechika-sama, another Karamazov member, is played by Seena Hoshiki.

Anna Nagase will also play another character named Kache. She is a vocational student who works as a cast member at a themed concept café.

Besides new characters, the second Needy Streamer Overload anime trailer also showcases the theme song, “Internet Angel,” composed and arranged by South Korean DJ Aiobahn, appearing in their ACG-focused persona, Aiobahn +81.

Staff for Needy Streamer Overload

Needy Streamer Overload anime will be produced by WSS Playground and Aniplex, with Yostar Pictures animating the project.

Few Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt staffers, such as director Masaoki Nakajima and character designer Kenji Saikai, will be involved.

They are assisted by other staff members, which includes character designers Akari Takei and Umito Shimizu, art director Ryuta Hayashi, compositing director of photography Jiann Horng Wu, and many others.

Aiobahn +81 also composes the anime’s soundtrack, alongside fellow DJs Sasuke Haraguchi and DÉ DÉ MOUSE.

The game’s original staff will also be involved in the anime production. Scenario writer nyalra will write and supervise the script adaptation, while illustrator Ohisashiburi provides original designs.

As of recently, nyalra stated that he will not participate in the promotion of the Needy Streamer Overload anime, stemming from an ongoing work dispute between him and publisher WSS Playground.

Needy Streamer Overload anime is scheduled to release in April 2026. A theatrical cut of the anime will be screened on March 6, titled Needy Girl Overdose -Overture-.
