FFWS SEA 2026 Spring: This is Everything You Need to Know

We’re on the eve of one of the biggest Free Fire tournaments in Southeast Asia, as the FFWS SEA 2026 Spring tournament finally kicks off its hype.

18 teams will fight for a place in the Esports World Cup 2026, as well as the strongest team status in the SEA region.

Everyone has a chance to win, with a little bit of luck backing up a strong plan and flexible adaptability to conquer every hardship.

We previously covered all the participating teams in this edition of FFWS SEA 2026 Spring here. But for refreshment, we will list all the teams below, divided by group placement.

Tournament Format

The tournament is divided into two stages: the knockout stage (online play) and the grand finals at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The knockout stage is divided further into two phases. The first phase will be held in two weeks, with matchdays every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, totalling 36 matches. Teams will play in a round-robin format, with each team playing 24 matches.

Based on teams’ placement in the first phase, they will be grouped into four pools for the second phase. The matches for the second stage will go as follows.

  • Pool A: Top 12 teams from the first stage. The top 2 teams in the second stage pool A will go to the grand finals; the rest will be relegated to the pool B. Matches will be played on Friday.
  • Pool B: 13th-14th teams from the first stage. The top 2 teams in the second stage pool B will go to the grand finals; the rest will be relegated to the pool C. Matches will be played on Saturday.
  • Pool C: 15th-16th teams from the first stage. The top 2 teams in the second stage pool C will go to the grand finals; the rest will be relegated to the pool D. Matches will be played on Sunday.
  • Pool D: 17th-18th teams from the first stage. The top 6 teams in the second stage pool D will go to the grand finals; the rest will be eliminated. Matches will be played on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The grand finals will be divided into two stages: Points Rush on the first day and Champions Rush on the second day. Points Rush matches set up teams’ positions on the second day. On Champions Rush, teams race to achieve a predetermined set of points and then try to achieve Booyah to become the champion.

The top 8 teams from the grand finals will advance to the Esports World Cup 2026. If EVOS Divine finished in EWC’s qualifying spot, the next best team shall take their place.
